How do we read a photograph? - Reserach

We need to insist that we need a photograph not as image biut as a text, by this we look at the relationship between the reader and the image, Every photograph reveals diiferernt times and meaning. As an example Diane Arbus called the Endless seductive puzzle at the sight, which reflects the codes, values beliefs.

  • Photograph is one of the most complex and the most problematic forms.
  • To read a photograph is to enter into a series of relationships which are hidden, we need not to only see the image but also read it as the active play of visual language.
  • The photograph itself is a product of the photographer
  • The photograph always reflects the view, aesthic, polemical, political, ideological.
